Occasionally invoices are received from vendors identified as service charges based on terms and conditions of the vendors.

It has become necessary for Aurora Health Care to inform our vendors that service charge invoices are not paid.

The reason for this policy is based on previous experience whereby after checking to find specific invoices covered by the service charge, the reason for non-payment or delayed payment was justified.  Such reasons include, return of merchandise, waiting for credit to cancel, duplicate billing, waiting for credit with re-billing at correct charge and any number of valid reasons.

The time consumed checking into the service charges has proved quite unproductive.  Since Aurora Health Care strives for and feels it achieves prompt processing of invoices, we have determined to inform our valued vendors that we will not honor service charges or late charges.
